Rats-R-Us from the Ice league and The Buffet from the Fire League ~ Myrmidon86
Greetings sports fans We had the first friendly match of this season today between Rats-R-Us from the Ice league and The Buffet from the Fire League. The question to field a halfling team is always a question but did they show what they could do today walking away with a 3-2 victory over the dastardly rats with only 2 Cas against them. Though one was a treeman injured by a foul resulting in a badly hurt to finish the first half. The halflings didn't take this quietly as they had a MasterChef to inspire them and they came out swinging resulting in five Cas against the rats though all were just badly hurt with nothing serious they paved the way, literally for the halflings to shuffle their way to victory with a last turn run but a hefty to get the winning touchdown. This was a shocking match with a surprise finish but the coach hopes to repeat it in the first official match this Thursday vs G.O.A.T.
he Influezers vs The Decadent Dragons ~ Kyle
Today saw The Influezers take on The Decadent Dragons. Irony was not lost on the fact the reskinned skavens player (me) was using nurgle dice when playing against a nurgle team and nurgle was most unhappy with his children. Several lucky (and unlucky) dice rolls saw the Dragons up 1 at the half with 1 nurgle follower sent to the dugout as well as 1 dragon lineman. Turn 2 of the 2nd half would see a clutch 1 die roll knock the ball from a nurgle lineman as the lineman was wrecked by a thrower. (12 rolled for armor and injury) Turn 3 saw the same thrower blitz a pestigor pick up the ball and a pass to a gutter runner saw a 2nd goal. Called there due to time constraints. The Thrower who was the real MVP is named Jane Goodball, cuz she went ape on them.
Chaos Renegades vs Goblins ~ Mavo
With only 1 play left in the first half, a surprise touch back landed the ball in Naffglop Kunninspitta's hands. Gruggerk Bouldergutz heeded the call to action and had to go for it to end up beside the goblin. Resisting the urge to eat Naffglops, Gruggerk thew the goblin, ball and all, down pitch. The throw wasn't perfect, but Naffglops landed, with only 7 yards between him and glory. There were enemy goblins forming a gauntlet, but Naffglops didn't earn his last name for nothing. Employing all of his 'Kunnin' he charged forward, dodging left, then right, then left again..... only to trip and fall flat on his nose. Maybe Gruggerk should have just eaten him after all.
8 successful dice checks... only to fail on the 9th. (Really Stupid, go-for-it, always hungry, throw team-mate, land, dodge, dodge, dodge, and go-for-it).
Conclusion
Alright you Blood Bowl fans! The shop has already seen one game and had some surprise remodeling to the stadium... in that there is now a Blood Bowl stadium (made if legos) currently open and ready for a game!
